Facebook employees to Work From Home until July 2021, will get $1,000 for home office

Amid rising number of coronavirus cases, Facebook Inc has decided to allow employees to work from home until July 2021.

 

The social media giant will also provide $1,000 to employees for home office needs.

 

"Based on guidance from health and government experts, as well as decisions drawn from our internal discussions about these matters, we are allowing employees to continue voluntarily working from home until July 2021", a Facebook spokeswoman wrote in an emailed statement.

 

"In addition, we are giving employees an additional $1,000 for home office needs".

 

Facebook joins other big technology companies such as Google and Twitter that have taken smlar steps.

 

The company will also continue reopening offices in a restricted capacity wherever local government guidance permits.

 

The tech giant said it was unlikely many locations will reopen in the US and Latin America before 2020 ends.
